About Gill’s PIer Ranch

We are a family ranch in northwestern Michigan. Our yaks are raised on pastures nourished by the cool breezes off of Lake Michigan and produce superior genetics through the Alaskan breeding line. This more rare line produces large bodied yaks with award-winning fiber and great temperaments. Whether you are looking to start a herd for breeding, selling meat or both, you owe it to yourself to check out our yaks.

Yak meat is the sweetest and healthiest red meat protein around. It is extremely lean, high in protein and Omegas and low in cholesterol. In fact, those with cholesterol issues can many times eat yak and not be concerned with medication to regulate their condition.
